Lena Hellström is interested in the challenge of being human, aspof space, time and complexity, with a particular interest in gender issues. Influences from allmogetradition, folklore, the Arts & Crafts Movement, Feng Shui and Wabi-Sabi. Her field of vision is global but her feet are firmly planted in Nordic soil. She wants to be an innovative and mediating creative link, where traditional knowledge forms a base while influences from different cultures provide nourishment and energy in a constantly ongoing process of change. She works artistically with many materials and mixes them uninhibitedly (including coloring, textiles, photography, graphics).

As a designer (graphic design, furniture, interior design, textiles), Lena Hellström wants to contribute with functional, timeless and long-term sustainable things with a clear identity. Simplicity and natural materials, knowledge and sensuality are important keywords. – “With nature as a prerequisite, tradition as a foundation and man as a measure”. She designs and sells her own furniture, textiles and interior design under the name Himlajorden Form.
