What is the Löfberg Family Business Award?
The Löfberg Family Business Award was established in 2020 and is awarded with the aim of recognizing successful family businesses in Värmland that combine the commitment and participation of the owner family with business success. The award is presented by the Löfberg family.
About family businesses:
- In family businesses, three systems interact: family life, business and ownership. This distinguishes family businesses from other forms of ownership.
- Family businesses are often characterized by a strong local roots and long-term focus, which often makes the companies more resilient in tough times.
- Family businesses are by far the most common form of business in Sweden and thus have a special position in Swedish business, both in terms of jobs and the economy. For example, family businesses account for a third of all jobs, and 50 percent of the private business sector's GDP. (Source: FBN Sweden )
