Set the table with the “secret of the forests”
Nature is now preparing for its winter rest. Take the opportunity to be influenced by its rhythm. Fallen leaves, needles, stones and cones, barren branches, flowers that surprise in the soil. Test yourself. Maybe a few lines from Gustaf Fröding's poem "In the Forest" can help you on your way when you set the table for your next dinner party.
In the depths of the forests the shadow dwells,
and silence slumbers there,
and whispered messages from the countryside
the sighing wind carries.
And the clouds come with the wind,
and the sun is obscured by them,
and the voices of the birds fall silent
and the air is heavy and stuffy.
But what is whispered by the wind,
none of us knows,
for the meaning of the whispering language
is the secret of the forests.
