With a strong interest in photography that has been a big part of Carl-Erik's life, the idea of ​​bringing nature into the weaving workshop grew. Ferns are something that Carl-Erik enjoys visually, sometimes in frosty winter versions but also beautifully green.

Carl-Erik, a former weaver at Klässbols Linneväveri for over 10 years, alternated work with photography. “During that time, I thought it would be fun to come up with my own pattern.”.

“Outside the window in the weaving room in the summer you could see a nice carpet of ferns. I thought it would be possible to use them as a pattern. There is also a bit of time with nature inspiration. One day I looked for some nice ferns and brought them into my garage studio here at home in Värmskog. I took a large number of pictures and selected a few. Then I converted them into completely graphic images in black and white in an image processing program. From them I made a pattern that Urban Johansson then had to continue with. Urban thought it was a fun idea and started making the pattern in the Klässbol studio.” – Carl-Erik.

Shrinkage: All sizes given refer to unwashed fabric. Expect shrinkage of approximately 5-7% in both length and width during the first wash. Follow the washing instructions.
