Mårbacka pelargon – with a story and a homely feel.

Mårbacka pelargon is a pillow made of 100% linen that adds warmth, pattern and personality to the room. Designed by Hanna Wendelbo and woven in Klässbol. The pillow carries a story that begins in the landscape, the journey and the home.

The work on Mårbacka pelargon took shape during Hanna's journey through Värmland. The landscape, the forests and the place names evoked associations with Selma Lagerlöf and Mårbacka – and with the geraniums that have long been an obvious part of the identity of the place and the home. From there, the step to the geranium motif was natural.

The flowers first emerged as free sketches, colored individually to capture their character. They were then built together into a complete pattern image – an expression that feels alive, but balanced. When the pattern was then translated into fabric in Klässbol, the structure of lineand the precision of the craftsmanship have further enhanced the feeling.

The cushion is woven like most of the products in our range, from 100% high-quality linen, where the natural firmness of the material gives shape and character. Mårbacka pelargon is a pattern that fits just as nicely on the sofa as in the kitchen or bedroom - easy to combine, but with an expression that stands firmly on its own.

It is not a pillow created to just be seen, but to be used and lived with – in everyday life, year after year.
