Blue Field – a pattern inspired by the natural harmony of the flax field.

Blååker is a beautiful pattern that carries the story of line and the landscape where it grows. Designed by Hanna Wendelbo and woven in Klässbol. It is a beautiful pattern that captures the feeling of a blooming flax field – peaceful, vibrant and timeless.

The work on Blååker began with the meeting with Klässbol and linet. For Hanna Wendelbo, the flax flower became an obvious starting point, not as a single motif, but as a whole experience. The inspiration lay in the feeling of standing in front of a blooming flax field, where the flowers together form an undulating, almost endless landscape.

The first sketches were made in watercolor, where the delicate expression of the flowers was allowed to develop freely. The pattern was then built up into a coherent whole, before being translated into fabric in close collaboration with Klässbol's professional skills. In this process, the expression of the pattern has been preserved, while the structure and natural luster linelinen have been allowed to further enhance the feeling.

The cushion is woven from 100% high-quality linen. With use and washing, the surface softens and develops a beautiful linen fabric, while the calm rhythm of the pattern remains. Blååker is a cushion that works just as well on the sofa as in an armchair or on the bed – easy to combine, but with a clear expression of its own.
