In connection with Arvika's 100th anniversary, Arvika Municipality, together with Klässbols linneväveri, launched a new collection by local designer Hanna Smedberg-Haglund. The collection consists of a runner and a towel in four different color schemes. The pattern is inspired by Arvika's city plan à la 1811 with the characteristic grid system, the square blocks, the straight streets and the right-angled street corners. At that time, it was easy and cheap to build the city – only 2,666 riksdaler and 32 skilling – because "the land was barely cultivable, there were only four low huts". 96 plots were divided and streets and squares could be planned according to the desirable grid system.
Shrinkage: All sizes given refer to unwashed fabric. Expect a shrinkage of approximately 5-7% both in length and width in connection with the first wash.
For the first wash of unbleached linen: soak the towel before washing and wash at 80° C. Subsequently, the towel is washed at 60° C. Follow the washing instructions.
