In addition to weaving and dyeing with her own hands, Fumi also works with fabric design and custom curtain production. She designs patterns and works for textile companies and architects in Japan and Europe. Fumi is attracted to the endless possibilities of weaving warp and weft and learning textile design, especially weaving, both in Japan and Sweden.

Own company: Fumi Hotta, in 2015 she was chosen as one of the young designers expressing Swedish design now, and she exhibited at Milano Salone in Milan. Today she works mostly from Yamanashi Prefecture and in 2017 she opened the hand weaving studio Oru de Tsumu de.
