HANNA WENDELBO - Klässbols Linen Weaving

HANNA WENDELBO

Hanna Wendelbo is a designer and illustrator with a clear and recognizable expression, where nature, botany and the work of the hand are at the center. Her patterns often begin in the observed and personal – in plants, landscapes and everyday environments – and develop through a careful, artisanal working method.

With a background in illustration and pattern design, Hanna works mainly with watercolor and ink, where each motif is given time to find its own character. The result is patterns that feel alive and narrative, but at the same time well-balanced and timeless. Her designs often move on the border between the free and the structured, where the whole is just as important as the details.

In collaboration with Klässbols Linneväveri, this approach has come to meet line and the language of the loom. For Hanna, work on the Herbarium collection began in the encounter with the place Klässbol, with the material and with the people behind the craft. Two patterns took shape: Blååker , inspired by the feeling of a blooming flax field, and Mårbacka pelargon , emerging from the Värmland landscape, Selma Lagerlöf and a beautiful cultural history and the familiar expressions of home.

Herbarium is a collection where form, material and place are woven together into a whole. The patterns bear Hanna Wendelbo's clear hand, but are also deeply rooted in Klässbol's tradition of slow craftsmanship and textiles created for everyday use.

We are proud to work together with Hanna Wendelbo.

The collaboration in Herbarium unites common values around craftsmanship, knowledge of materials and respect for what takes time – and results in textiles that are created to last a long time, in homes where they are used and appreciated over time.
