Blååker – table runner inspired by blooming flax fields.
Blååker is a linen runner that takes its starting point from line's own flower and the beautiful meadows where it grows. Designed by designer Hanna Wendelbo and in a first collaboration with Klässbols Linneväveri. This beautiful runner has a tranquil expression created for table settings where the material and the whole are allowed to speak. The Blååkerpattern grew out of the feeling of a beautiful blooming flax field in blue. A beautiful and harmonious expression that brings to mind a bluish sea of flax in a summer breeze, calm, alive and close to nature.
The table runner is woven from high-quality linen in Klässbol, where a long tradition of craftsmanship and material knowledge characterizes every step of the process. The rhythm and density of the pattern is adapted to the shape of the runner, which means that it adds life and structure to the table without dominating. The pattern came about when Hanna started sketching some sketches in watercolor.
”I started with some sketches in watercolor but decided quite soon to express the flax flower's sheer bloom in an undulating, fairly dense pattern to evoke that feeling you have when you see a bluish sea of blooming flax” – Hanna Wendelbo.
Blååker looks just as good alone on the table as it does in combination with a tablecloth. A runner for everyday meals as well as for more formal occasions and, like all linen, becomes softer and more beautiful over time.

- Shrinkage: Expect approximately 5–7% shrinkage on first wash. The sizes listed are for unwashed fabric.
