The Bada collection

The work on the BADA collection took 1 ½ years and was carried out in close collaboration with master weavers Urban Johansson and Stefan Johansson. – It is fantastic to work with these experienced and skilled craftsmen directly at the looms at Klässbols in Värmland, says Lena and continues: The focus has been on finding beautiful and light qualities for each area of use – towel, bath towel and kimono. All qualities should be nice unmangled as well as mangled. The collection has a graphic base in black, silver grey and white and is now also available in turquoise and sand.

BADA towels are woven in 100% linen with different graphic surfaces, marine irregular lines but also with the characteristic Klässbols checks. The quality is developed to be thin and slightly dry so that the water on the hands can be easily dried.

BADA bath towels consist of a mixed quality. Linen and a brand new environmentally friendly cellulose fiber Tencel, whose properties are similar to line , which makes them excellent for combining when weaving. The quality is developed to be thick but still light. The waffle weave creates an appearance almost like small swirls with good absorbency. BADA kimono is a mixed quality of cotton and linen. Cotton for absorbency and line for its shine. The structure itself is designed to form small "air pockets". These pockets create a kind of thermal effect that retains heat. - I wanted to develop a quality that is a cross between a thick terry cloth robe and a thin cotton kimono. The aim is for it not to be too heavy and for it to breathe.

BADA kimono is unisex and is suitable for both women and men. It should be able to function as an elegant layering piece at home for relaxed occasions. Not only after the bath but also for "coziness" says Lena.
