Arvika – in my quarters table runner
50 x 150 cm
Background: Due to the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Arvika, the city launched a new weaving collection of local designer Hanna Smedberg Haglund. The collection consists of a runner and a towel in four different colors. The pattern is inspired by the Arvika town plan from 1811 including the characteristic grid system, the square blocks, the straight streets and the orthogonal street corners. Back in those days it was easy and cheap to build the city – only 2666 crowns and 32 shillings – because “the ground was hardly cultivable, there were only four low huts”. 96 plots were divided and the streets were planned according to the desired grid system.
Shrinkage: All listed sizes refer to unwashed tissue. Expect a shrinkage of about 5-7% in both length and width in connection with first wash.
For unbleached linen: Soak the towel before washing and wash at 80° C. Continue to wash the towel at 60° C. Follow the washing instructions.
