About Druvklasen pattern

When Hjalmar Johansson, the founder of Klässbols and grandfather of Andreas Johansson (CEO) fourth generation in the company, did his textile education 1912-1915 in Borås, he brought two books home to Värmland in Sweden. They were both written by J.E Ekenmark. One book called Handbook for young ladies in the art of making cotton and linen fabrics according to English data and own experiments, was published in 1820. The other book Dissertation on drills and double golf mats manufacture with used armor equipment, was published in 1828. In these two books, Hjalmar found the pattern Druvklasen (grape bunch) and decided to start weaving on the pattern on his well-equipped jacquard loom in the living room in his family’s home. The pattern who associates with feasts and celebration now slowly took shape again. Today, almost 200 years later, from the origin of the original pattern, there are new colors and ready to meet the future and festive dinner parties.
