“Two threads that cross each other are the starting point for all woven fabrics genesis, and that is where my creative process begins. In cooperation with Klässbols Linneväveri I have wanted to reconnect with old textile traditions. With the help of different technologies, both high tech and low tech, I can express different “languages” and tell different stories.”
The collection Memory – bedspreads and pillows – are the result, designed by Ulrika Elovsson. Memory has been awarded with Formex Formidable in 2008, in the category “Heritage of the Year”, and Edida Elle Interior Design Award 2009 in the category “Bedroom Accessories of the Year”.
Ulrika Elovsson was born in 1974, and trained at Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design), The School of the Association of Friends of Textile Art and Kawashima Textile School of Art in Kyoto. She lives in Stockholm, but works internationally.
