After the French school, she attended the Technical School, Sigrid Blomberg’s school of sculpture and Caleb and Carl Wilhelmson’s painting schools. Astri was married to the poet and artist Evert Taube and became the mother of architect Per-Evert, Rosemarie, Ellinor and Sven-Bertil Taube. Astri worked primarily as a painter, graphic artist and sculptor. She died in 1980 in the Maria Magdalena parish in Stockholm.
