Background Norrland: The Norrland collection is the result of a long and puposeful collaboration between Klässbols Linneväveri and the designer Lena Bergström. The qualities and possibilities of the linen has been the main thread for the work that has grown out of the looms in Klässbol for the past year. At a distance the low-voiced patterns of Norrland creates single colors. But when you get closer new patters will appear. ”The strong and graphical characteristics of Norrland (the northern Swedish landscape) has been my inspiration”, says Lena who grew up in Norrland.

Background Bolster Twist: Bolster is one of Klässbol’s most popular fabrics and fits well with interior design, furniture and cushions. Its characteristic stripes in both wide, intermedior and slender stripes can sometimes be seen in television, and photo reportage with a interior design theme. Designer Lena Rahoult has for a long time gathered on striped patterns and studs from different parts of Sweden and her musty and easily refined stripes radiate warm ”allmoge” tradition. “Swedish traditional techniques and patterns are a never-ending source of inspiration for me. With my collection “Bolster” I wanted to renew the Swedish bolster tradition and create a fabric that works in all types of furnishings, she explains.
