The nearest town is Arvika, but the countryside also has its pearls.
Rackstad Museum is one of the country’s most beautiful art museums and a popular destination for both local and international visitors. The museum is founded by the sculptor Christian Eriksson’s family home and in addition to the museum’s exhibitions in the main building, Christian Eriksson’s Uppstuhage is visited during the summer season.
Sliperiet i Borgvik
A few miles south you will find Sliperiet in Borgvik – art gallery and gastronomy. I their unique environment where cultural heritage meets modern art gallery and countryside meets the urban and creates an atmosphere that makes Sliperiet a memorial to life. Each year, between May and September, they present a multifaceted assembly show where recognized artists meet new on the move. In the restaurang Sliperiet Gastronomi they serve food from scratch with amazing ingredients. Travel time 40 min.

The Ritz – culture scene, meeting place and creative room – recently opened after a thorough renovation. The house was originally built as a People’s House in 1967-68. Here people have engaged, Jözze-Jassen filled the house with music, the organizers’ association Galaxen rowed Arvika Festival and teenagers danced the disco. The name Ritz comes from the café that was opened in the house in 1968.
