We are proud to present Sophie Jungkvist, a unique textile artist who explores the possibilities of weaving. Sophie did her internship here at Klässbols Linneväveri and has continued to impress with her creative and experimental approach to textile art.

This exhibition features elements from her award-winning project Woven Change, Shifting Expressions, where she combines hand weaving with industrial techniques in a unique way. Her work is characterized by layers of pattern, transparency and shifting perspectives, inspired by eyelet curtains, waves and evening colors at Glafsfjorden.

Sophie also showcases new, fascinating weaves that reflect her desire to experiment and push the boundaries between tradition and innovation. She has trained at the Friends of Handcraft in Stockholm and the Textile University in Borås, and her work has won several awards, including Ung Svensk Form 2023.
