Linnea Blomgren

Linnea Blomgren

Linnea Blomgren works with textile art and form in the techniques of weaving, embroidery and color reservation. She seeks expression for the living, uneven and worn. The imperfect. Often clothes in installation form. With the body and identity in focus.

She works in textile materials with high craftsmanship quality. She is based on movement and unevenness in the material and also in the body.

In collaboration with choreographers Pavel Cassius and Karen H. Mikalsen, she creates installations with dance and film. They will introduce another dimension to the work and create new perspectives on the image with an awareness of space and the body and reinforce the textile. Music and literature are important in her work, about the private, the political and the everyday, she wants to tell.
