Eva Jemt

Designer Eva Jemt is well known within the line of textiles and works as an independent designer. Working as an art direcor at Ljungbergs Textiltryck has given her genuine knowledge and experience within production and materials.

Her collections are significant and portray a great feeling through a passionate use od colours and forms. Her first collection was duly rewarded at Excellent Swedish Design 2001, together with honourable personal mention. By using accent stripes in Skimmer, Eva has managed to emphasize selvedges that Klässbols' shuttle looms create. This makes edge hems superfluous.

"The selvedges of Klässbols's woven fabrics inspired my Skimmer collection. The single-coloured borders accentuate these curtains' finely finished edges. Strong colours give me a thrill. I don't know how I succeeded in convincing Klässbols to buy pink yarn - but the result is a wonderful combination of strong colours on white and black warp. The linen curtains with their slightly stiff freshness take on an even greater sheen when they are newly mangled - they positively shimmer."
